Sahay also happens to be treasurer of the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM). He was the chief organiser of the JMM’s 56th Foundation Day held at the Golf Ground of Dhanbad, attended by Chief Minister Champai Soren on February 4.

Amitesh Sahay, president of the Jharkhand Industrialists and Traders Association (JITA), is an established coal trader and runs several factories in partnership.
