Ranchi, March 17: The Jharkhand High Court has ordered the dismissal of the FIR filed over a clash with the police during a BJP event at Morhabadi, granting significant relief to 18 leaders, including former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi, former minister Amar Kumar Bauri, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, Rajya Sabha MP Pradeep Verma, MPs Deepak Prakash and Dhullu Mahto, as well as BJP Yuva Morcha president Shashank Raj and Ramesh Singh.
The FIR had been registered against them, along with 10,000 unidentified individuals, following unrest during the BJP’s Yuva Akrosh March last August.

The accused were charged with rioting, inciting violence, violating government orders, obstructing official duties, provoking crimes, and causing harm to others.
In this regard, Case No. 203/2024 was registered at Lalpur police station, against which a petition was filed in the High Court.
The case was heard in the court of Justice Anil Kumar Choudhary of the High Court. Advocates Prashant Pallav, Parth Jalan, and Shivani argued on behalf of the petitioners.
