Jharkhand HC to hear JMM leader’s anticipatory bail plea on June 11

Ranchi, June 9: The Jharkhand High Court will now take up JMM leader Tala Marandi’s anticipatory bail petition on June 11. The matter was heard on Monday in the court of Justice Anand Sen.

During the proceedings, the court directed the state government to inform whether Tala Marandi had responded to the notice issued under Section 41 of the CrPC by the police.

The case for which Marandi is seeking anticipatory bail was registered at Borio police station in Sahebganj district in 2021, under case number 61.

The FIR accuses him and others of allegedly facilitating the escape of an accused from police custody. Advocate Vikas Kumar appeared on behalf of Tala Marandi and presented arguments in court.
