Jamshedpur, Jan 16: The Jamshedpur Hotel and Restaurant Association (JHRA) showcased the city’s culinary excellence with a captivating Master Chef competition during the Jamshedpur Carnival 2024. The event, featuring both junior and senior categories, added a unique twist to this year’s festivities, captivating the audience with gastronomic delights and culinary prowess.
The Master Chef competition at Jamshedpur Carnival 2024 not only celebrated the culinary diversity of the city but also provided a platform for talented chefs to showcase their skills and creativity. The event marked another successful edition of JHRA’s cherished annual initiative, leaving a lasting impression on both participants and attendees.
Junior Category
The Little Master Chef competition showcased the budding talents of young chefs, who wowed the audience with their creativity using the beloved Oreo. The innovative dishes presented by participants delighted guests and highlighted the promising future of culinary artistry in Jamshedpur.

Senior Category
In the senior category, the sweet dish challenge featured the exquisite flavours of strawberries, while the savoury round saw participants infusing the unique taste of broccoli into their creations. The competition pushed the boundaries of familiar flavours and textures, challenging participants to showcase their culinary skills and creativity.

Judges
A distinguished panel of judges, comprising chefs from some of Jamshedpur’s finest hotels such as Alchor, Ramada, Ganga and The Yashwee Hotel, had the challenging task of evaluating the culinary masterpieces. Additionally, the renowned Chef Pradip Khosla was spotted taking rounds in the Master Chef Hangars, adding to the excitement and prestige of the event.
The Master Chef competition is an annual initiative by the JHRA, and this year’s event witnessed an exceptional increase in participation. The city’s culinary talent was on full display as participants pushed the boundaries of creativity, presenting dishes that showcased a fusion of flavours and culinary techniques.
Awards
Ravish Ranjan, President of JHRA, presented awards to the winners alongside TSUISL MD Rituraj Sinha. The senior members of the association, including Nawal Khemka, Smita Parikh, Anil Khemka, provided guidance to the organizing committee, with Gaurav Agarwal and Randeep Singh Bhatia contributing to the success of the event.
