Jharkhand: Land broker shot dead by bike-borne criminals in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Dec 8: A 40-year-old man was shot dead by two bike-borne criminals at Jawaharnagar under the Mango Thana area on Friday.

The victim identified as Mohammed Sajjad alias Tanga did the business of sale-purchase of land and would reside at Kooli Mohalla in Zakirnagar in Mango.

Incidentally, in the gunshot attack, one Mobile Tiger (cop on bike) was injured.

Fatal gunshot attack by two criminals

When Sajjad was standing near Road No 16 in Jawahar Nagar, two bike-borne criminals opened fire at him repeatedly. As a result of the gunshot attack, the man fell down, leading some locals to rush him to Tata Main Hospital where the doctors on emergency duty declared him as brought dead.

The murder victim had sustained gunshot injuries in the chest and in the lower abdomen.

One assailant nabbed

On the other hand, the assailants had sped away towards Pardih. But as the shooting incident took place in the presence of two Mobile Tigers, the cops followed the criminals to catch them.

Incidentally, the fleeing criminals shot at the Mobile Tigers too, causing one of them to sustain bullet injury. But the other jawan identified as Nirmal Tuddu chased the criminals and succeeded to nab one of them.

Injured cop in serious condition

The OC, Mango Thana, Vinay Kumar said the criminal in the police net has been identified as Sanjay Kumar. The police have recovered two pistols from the possession of the arrested criminal.

According to police, the injured cop identified as Ramdev has been admitted to Tata Main Hospital where his condition is considered to be serious.

Senior SP, Kishore Kaushal who had visited Tata Main Hospital said that the police are investigating the reason behind the gunshot attack on Sajjad, adding that they would arrest others involved in the murder soon.
