Dhanbad, Jan 12: The Civil Engineering Department of BIT Sindri held the second conference of the Platinum Jubilee celebration lecture series of the institution today at Rajendra Prasad Hall.

Famous educationalist Jitendra Tiwari, from Made Easy, New Delhi, was the chief speaker. Dr Tiwari and Dr Rajesh Kumar, associate professors of IIT BHU Varanasi’s civil engineering department, connected virtually with the audience.
The conference topic was ‘Challenges and Career Opportunities in the Current Scenario’. This was the second lecture of the Platinum Jubilee lecture series.
Jitendra Tiwari, who also holds the Limca Book of Records, conveyed to the students the benefits of the Engineering Services Examinations and the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering.
While addressing them, he also apprised the students about the scope of higher studies and the process and eligibility for various examinations like ESE, GATE, and CSE. He also inspired the students to appear in the upcoming examinations.

While addressing the conference, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, an associate professor of IIT BHU, made the students aware of the opportunities in the field of civil engineering. He also introduced the students to many opportunities in the research field.
Dr Rajesh has guided more than 50 national and international technical journals.
Earlier in the day, Dr Jitu Kujur of the civil engineering department introduced the lecture’s topic.
Associate Professor of the Civil Engineering Department, Dr Brahmadev Yadav, introduced the chief guest. Dr Jitu Kujur proposed a vote of thanks.
BIT Sindri Director Dr Pankaj Rai, senior professor Dr Vikrama Pandey, Dr Udai Kumar Singh, Prof. Prafulla Kumar Sharma, Dr Maya Rajnarayan Ray, Dr Sumit Kumar, Dr Komal Kumari, Dr Abhijit Anand, Prof. Nipen Kumar Das, Prof. Prakash Kumar Orang, Prof. Iqbal Shaikh, Prof. Saroj Meena, Prof. Prashant Ranjan Malviya, Adarsh Kumar and all the graduate and post graduate students of the Civil Engineering Department were present in the programme.
