Ranchi, January 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Sindri unit of Hindustan Urvarak Rasayan Limited (HURL) during his visit to Dhanbad on January 27.

Annual target 11.75 lakh MTs

The Sindri plant will produce 3850 tonnes of urea and 2250 metric tons of ammonia daily. The plant has a target of producing 11.75 lakh metric tons annually.

Since Fertilizer Corporation India (FCI) Sindri shut down in December 2002 during the Atal Bihari Vajpayee-led central government, Prime Minister Modi had made the HURL Sindri unit his ambitious project to compensate for the loss of 2002.

Public meeting in Dhanbad

Meanwhile, BJP general secretary Pradeep Verma said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting in Dhanbad on January 27. His programme will be held at Balliapur Airport grounds.

Earlier, BJP state president Babulal Marandi held a meeting in the Dhanbad district office given the PM’s visit.

MPs, MLAs and District Presidents of Dhanbad, Bokaro, Giridih and Koderma attended the meeting.
