Dhanbad, February 6: Independent MLA Saryu Roy has questioned Chief Minister Champai Soren over the legality of the notification for the mass transfer of doctors.
The date of notification is February 5, but the signature of authority on it is February 2.
Query to CM Champai Soren
In his post on the X platform, Jamshedpur East MLA Roy attached a notification and informed Chief Minister Champai Soren: “Your health department has issued a notification for transfer and deputations of doctors. The date of signature by the under-secretary on the notification is February 2, 2024. Kindly explain whether it is as per the executive manual or a violation”.

Signature of under-secretary
The Under Secretary of the State Health Department on Monday evening (February 5) issued a notification for the transfer and posting of 24 medical officers (doctors). But the signature of the under-secretary on the notification is February 2. Champai Sore took the oath of chief minister on February 2.
As notification was issued in the evening, veteran politician Saryu Roy, at 8.37 pm on Monday, posted it on the X platform, asking the chief minister about the legality of it.
24 doctors transferred
In the notification, 24 doctors have been transferred, including Dr Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh, state secretary of the Jharkhand Health Service Association (JHSA). Dr Thakur Mritunjay Kumar Singh was posted at the community health centre (CHC), Bokaro district, and he has been deployed as a Reproductive Child Healthcare (RCH) officer in Ramgarh district.
