Dhanbad, Feb 28: The visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Dhanbad on March 1 will create a new record.
This will be the first time a Prime Minister will hold two-rallies in a district of the state same day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to arrive here on March 1 to inaugurate Hindustan Urvarak and Rasayan Limited (HURL) Sindri. He will inaugurate the plant at 11 am and hold a public rally there. However, officials said it will be a small rally inside HURL premises.
After the inauguration of HURL, the Prime Minister will arrive in Dhanbad city by a chopper and again hold a public rally at Barbadda airstrip in the afternoon.
Octogenarian senior Congress leader and former MLA Mannan Mallick recalled that in his knowledge no Prime Minister of India had addressed two rallies on the same day in a district during undivided Bihar and after the formation of separate Jharkhand state so far.
