Jharkhand News: 4 State doctors invited to world meet on Diabetes in Bhubaneswar

Dhanbad, January 10: Four diabetologists of the state have been invited to the three-day International Diabetes Conference organised by Diabetes India in Bhubaneswar from January 25 to 27.

The eminent doctors of Jharkhand who have been invited to address the scientific programme of the conference on Diabetes are Dr NK Singh ( Dhanbad), Dr Vinay Dhandhania ( Ranchi), Dr Anil Kumar Virmani and Dr Arvind Kumar Arya (both from Jamshedpur).

At the International Conference, besides diabetologists from all states, world-renowned diabetes specialist doctors from more than 121 countries, especially from the USA, United Kingdom, France, Belgium, Austria, Turkey, Germany, Norway, Qatar, Australia and other European and Asia countries will shed light on diabetes-related different complications.

Dr NK Singh and Dr Vijay Dhandhania have been invited to address two topics in the scientific programme at the conference. Dr Singh will address on January 25 and January 26.

Protection of heart, kidneys, liver 

Dr NK Singh, on the first day, will shed light on protecting the heart, kidneys and liver from Diabetes, while on the second day, he will suggest ideas on how physicians should protect patients from diabetes complications.

Diabetes and mental health

Dr Dhandhania will also address the session on the Fast Facts of Diabetes on the first day and the topic of Diabetes and Mental Health on the second day of the conference.

Pancreas and liver dysfunction

Dr Anil Kumar Virmani and Dr Arvind Kumar Arya will address the international conference on January 25. Dr Virmani will shed light on the pancreas and liver dysfunction in developing Type 2 diabetes, while Dr Arya’s topic is Clinical decision-making in a special situation: Steriod-induced hyperglycemia.

Three doctors from Bihar

Besides four doctors of Jharkhand, three eminent diabetologists of Bihar, Dr Ajay Kumar, Dr Shaibal Guha and Dr Subhash Kumar, have also been invited to the Bhubaneswar International Conference on Diabetes.
