Dhanbad, March 19: The excise police on Tuesday recovered 96 cartons of fake brands of foreign liquor stored in a city-based house on Joraphatak Road under Dhansar police station.

District Assistant Excise Commissioner Sanjay Mehta said that besides fake liquor, in the raid caps, stickers of different foreign liquor companies were also recovered in large quantities in the house.

The illegal liquor was stored in a rented house. The house belonged to Manoj Sahu and the business was operated by Appu Singh. Both of them fled when excise police raided the house in the afternoon.
