Dhanbad, April 16: The Badminton Association of India (BAI) has made tough rules to check the age forgery of players.
In this regard, the Badminton Association of India has issued guidelines for determining the age of players for new IDs.
BAI general secretary Sanjay Mishra, in his circular to the secretary of the All States Association, has given an eight-point document list to fill out before recommending a player’s name for BAI’s new ID.
Sanjay Mishra has said that, as per the direction of the BAI Age Verification Committee, all state associations are required to adhere to the guidelines when determining the age of players for BAI ID.

The general secretary said in his circular, “The measure is aimed at ensuring a level playing field for all players within the specific age groups.”
As per the new guidelines, junior players will now have to give complete school details from KG to the current status verified by the current school. They also have to submit a birth certificate of the same year’s registration, an Aadhar Card, a duly signed and notarised affidavit, and Rs 3,000 DD in favour of the Badminton Association of India.
They are also to submit a medical certificate from a government hospital in BAI format verified by the chief medical officer.
Senior players will have to provide photo ID proof with their complete date of birth ( passport, Aadhar card, and Rs 3000 DD in favour of BAI).
