Dhanbad, March 22: Students showcased their skills and knowledge in various domains on Thursday, the second day of BIT Sindri’s annual Metallurgical Fest ‘Dhatvika’ -2024.

Convener Satyam Arya and secretary Rahul Bhaskar of the Annual Fest organizing committee said that four events, Aarambh, Parivartan, Sthanan and Mishran, were held on the second day of ‘Dhatvika’.

The day they commenced with Aarambh – a PowerPoint presentation for the 1st-year students.

In ‘Parivartan,’ an industrial problem-solving report presentation, second to final-year students presented their innovative solutions to industrial challenges.

In the Sthanann event, a personal interview was organized. In Mishran, a general quiz contest was held to test participants’ knowledge across diverse fields.

On the second day of the annual fest, Ritu Raj Raman, technical officer at CSIR-CIMFR (Coal and Processing), was the chief guest and dignitaries from the department, including Prof BN Roy, head of the Department of Metallurgical Engineering, Dr A.K. Rajak, Dr Sangram Hembram, Dr Sumit Sharma, Dr Nand Kishor Kumar, Prof Kirty Madhavi, Profr Izhar Hussain, Pro Babul Das, Pro Monika Gautam, Prof BN Choudhary, former convener Dipesh Jaiswal, former secretary Anurag Soni, former treasurer Abhijeet Kumar, Convener treasurer Raunak Rawani were also present during the festival.
