Ranchi, Oct 15: The BJP has announced its candidate for the Ghatsila Assembly bypoll, once again placing its trust in Babulal Soren, son of former Chief Minister Champai Soren.
The party declared its list of candidates for five upcoming by-elections across the country on Wednesday following a meeting of the BJP Central Election Committee. The official announcement was made by the party’s national general secretary Arun Singh.

Aga Syed Mohsin has been fielded from Budgam in Jammu & Kashmir, Devyani Rana from Nagrota, Babulal Soren from Ghatsila in Jharkhand, Jai Dholakia from Nuapada in Odisha, and Lankala Deepak Reddy from Jubilee Hills in Telangana.
The bypoll in Ghatsila is scheduled for November 11, with October 21 set as the last date for filing nominations.
According to party sources, the BJP’s decision is based on local political dynamics and previous electoral experiences. The party expects Baboolal Soren to deliver a stronger performance and help it reclaim the Ghatsila seat.
