Dhanbad, April 23: A man from Bokaro, identified as Kasim alias Naushad (35), was arrested on Wednesday for posting an inflammatory and objectionable message on social media in connection with the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam that claimed the lives of 26 tourists.

Bokaro Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and police spokesperson Alok Ranjan confirmed the arrest and said Naushad is being interrogated for his post, which sparked outrage.

Hate-Filled Message Praised Terrorists

On Tuesday evening, Naushad, a resident of Millat Nagar under Balidih police station area, uploaded a controversial post on social media, stating, “Thank You Pakistan. Thank You Lashkar-e-Taiba, May Allah Bless You always. We will be more happy if RSS, BJP, Bajrang Dal and the media are targeted.”

The post came to light after BJP Ranchi MLA CP Singh alerted Bokaro Superintendent of Police Manoj Swargiyari around 11 PM on Tuesday. Acting swiftly, a high-level police team raided Naushad’s residence at 6 AM on Wednesday and brought him to the police station for questioning.
