Dhanbad, April 22: The Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) will provide 250 MVA additional power supply to Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL) of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL).
In this regard, the authorities of DVC and BSL signed on MoU at Bokaro. As per the MoU, BSL will get an additional supply of 250 MVA power from 2027-2028. DVC officials said at present BSL gets 220 MVA power supply from DVC.

On the occasion, DVC member Finance Arup Sarkar, executive director (commercial) Sanjiv Srivastava, executive director (system) DK Singh, executive director (finance) Joydeep Mukherjee and from Bokaro Steel Limited executive director (works), executive director (project) and executive director represented the organization.
Official sources said that the MoU has been signed in the wake of a proposed expansion plan of BSL in which the organization will require more power than the present supply of 220 MVA.
DVC officials, on the occasion, said that his organization (DVC) will cater to the requirement of BSL from Brown Field Thermal Power Projects being set up in different units.
