Jharkhand News: CII Young Indians host ‘Faristey’ training program in partnership with EMRI

Jamshedpur, April 25: CII Young Indians Road Safety vertical organized “Faristey,” a Certification Training Program on Life-Saving Techniques and First Aid Response, in association with EMRI at ASIA Bhavan, Adityapur on 24th April 2024.

The training, conducted by EMRI representatives Dr. Pankaj and Akash, focused on equipping supervisors and safety professionals with the necessary skills to act as first responders in emergency situations.

Ninety-nine participants spanning diverse industries completed rigorous first responder training, equipping them with the skills needed to effectively aid accident victims.

Recognizing the critical “Platinum Period” of 10 minutes and “Golden Hour” of 60 minutes following an accident, CII Young Indians emphasizes the importance of immediate response and proper training.

Through the “Faristey” program, CII Young Indians aim to cultivate a cadre of ‘Farishtas’ committed to saving lives.

PPP principle, CPR use

The training covered emergency and first aid concepts, emphasizing the vital P.P.P. principle (Preserve Life, Promote Speedy Recovery, Prevent Worsening of Condition).

Participants received insight into distinguishing between trauma and medical emergencies, along with topics such as bleeding control, pulse assessment, and patient handling methods.

Hands-on sessions included mastering techniques like CPR using the ABCDE approach and proficiently utilizing deep respirator machines for swift emergency response.

A post-test conducted at the conclusion of the program revealed a significant improvement in participants’ knowledge, supplemented by valuable feedback to ensure program effectiveness.

CII YI aims to train 10,000 Jamshedpur citizens

Overall, the “Faristey” program delivered a comprehensive and engaging learning experience, empowering participants with critical skills and knowledge to act confidently as first responders in emergencies.

Nikhil Khaitan, Arush Sabherwal, Ayush Goyal, Akash Anand, Shruti Jhunjhunwalla, Sakshi Gupta, along with other members of YI, played pivotal roles in driving this initiative forward.

CII Young Indians, Jamshedpur aims to train 10,000 citizens of Jamshedpur with the necessary skills to act as first responders in emergency situations in 2024.
