Lalan Singh told police that he had withdrawn Rs 1 lakh from the SBI Kerkendra branch and was on his way to his residence based near Loyabad Power House on a shared auto. “I was sitting on the left side seat of the auto and my handbag was on my lap. Two criminals riding on a bike overtook the auto at high speed from the left side and the pillion rider snatched the bag,” said Lalan Singh.
He raised the alarm but before the auto stopped, bike-borne criminals escaped on the busy road.

The Loyabad police, getting information reached the spot immediately and began an investigation. Police officer Sindhu Kumari said that roadside CCTV cameras are being screened to trace the identity of criminals.
