Daltonganj, July 16: Sadar police station in the downtown Daltonganj under the leadership of its officer in charge Santosh Gupta is monitoring traffic at Gursuti, where the gush of rain water is terrible and the road is under water.

Gupta said, “We are asking people not to do any misadventure with the turbulent rain water as it may prove dangerous and risky to life.”

An alternative route is being suggested by the police for common traffic, said the police officer Gupta.

“A cyclist tried to pass through the over topping water. We stopped the cyclist to put life in any danger,” added Gupta.

Rainwater is overtopping bridge number 22 at Koreeya and a similar rain position is being reported from the Bhusi side.

Police officer Gupta said, “We will be announcing on the public address system asking people to maintain a safe distance from the overtopping and gush of water.”

Meanwhile, 25-foot wall of the Chitragupta Mandir at Nawa Toli in Daltonganj has collapsed due to incessant rains. There is no damage to life.
