Jamshedpur, Sept 19: Dayanand Public School, Jamshedpur, recently organised a colourful and engaging Kindergarten Exhibition, which turned the school campus into a lively hub of creativity, exploration, and experiential learning.

The event witnessed participation of young learners who, with the guidance of their teachers, presented various themes through attractive displays, models, and hands-on activities.

The exhibition was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Gian Taneja, Chairman, Shiksha Samiti, who appreciated the efforts of the children and teachers in putting up such meaningful displays. He was joined by Rajiv Talwar, Vice Chairman, Shiksha Samiti, along with other dignitaries.

The exhibition covered a wide range of themes relevant to the early years of education, including Animals, Road Safety, Modes of Transport, Seasons, Cleanliness, and Space. Each corner of the exhibition highlighted the imagination and efforts of the little ones.

From vibrant animal cutouts and miniature transport models to space rockets and seasonal scenes, the models not only captured the curiosity of the children but also offered parents and visitors a glimpse into the innovative teaching practices of the school.

A special highlight of the exhibition was the play and activity area, where children engaged in hands-on activities designed to develop eye-hand coordination, fine motor skills, and problem-solving abilities.

These playful tasks encouraged children to learn by doing, which is at the heart of activity-based learning—an approach strongly recommended by the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.

Speaking on the occasion, the Principal emphasized how the exhibition reflects the school’s commitment to preparing students for the future by fostering 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration from the earliest years.

She also highlighted that the early childhood stage lays the foundation for lifelong learning, and exhibitions like these strengthen the bond between classroom teaching and real-life understanding.
