Dhanbad, March 27: The Dhanbad Rail Division is set to receive its first direct train from Dhanbad to Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminal, starting next month.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (Sr. DCM) of Dhanbad Rail Division, Md. Iqbal, stated that in view of the heavy passenger rush during the summer season, it has been decided to run special trains (03379/03380) from April 8 to June 24 for the convenience of travellers.

The special train 03379 will commence its journey from Dhanbad Railway Station on April 8, while its return service, 03380, will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminal on April 10 and continue operations until June 26, 2025. Both trains will run 12 rounds on Tuesdays between Dhanbad and Mumbai.
The route will cover Dhanbad, Katrasgarh, Chandrapura, Bokaro Thermal Power Station, Barkakana, Patratu, Khalari, Latehar, Daltonganj, Garhwa Road, Renukut, Chopan, and Singrauli Station.
Despite Dhanbad Rail Division being the highest revenue earner among 258 rail divisions in India, there has been no direct train between Dhanbad and Mumbai. The introduction of this service fulfills a long-standing demand of the region’s passengers.
