Dhanbad, Nov 5: In a major crackdown against organized crime, Dhanbad police have arrested four members of fugitive gangster Prince Khan’s network. A special team recovered a large sum of extortion money, arms, ammunition, and documents linked to criminal activities.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Prabhat Kumar informed that a special squad conducted raids at 12 locations across the district, detaining 12 suspects. After interrogation, four of them were found to be directly linked to Prince Khan, involved in extortion, kidnapping, and investing illegal earnings into legitimate businesses on the gangster’s behalf.

The arrested accused have been identified as Parvej Khan (55), Saif Alam alias Rashid (31), Taushif Alam alias Musa (33), and Imtiyaj Ali alias Ladla (46). All four were sent to jail on Wednesday.

Special Police Team Formed to Target Organized Crime
The SSP said a dedicated team led by Superintendent of Police (Urban) Ritvik Srivastava, SP (Rural) DSP Naushad Alam, and officers-in-charge of seven police stations was formed to dismantle Prince Khan’s network. Acting on technical inputs, the team launched coordinated raids on Tuesday, leading to the arrests.

Cash, Arms, and Property Documents Seized
During the operation, police seized ₹17 lakh in cash, a licensed revolver, 47 live cartridges, 70 property deed papers, 12 ATM cards, several bank passbooks, and other materials. The arrested individuals reportedly disclosed the names of over 100 associates involved in extortion and other criminal operations under Prince Khan’s direction.
“The investigation is ongoing. The arrested accused have revealed crucial information that will help us trace the financial trail and the broader network of the gang,” SSP Prabhat Kumar said.
Links to Terror Funding Under Probe
Kumar further stated that similar arrests had been made earlier in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, where interrogation hinted at possible terror funding connections. Police are now examining this angle as well.

Urging citizens not to succumb to extortion threats, SSP Prabhat Kumar appealed to the public to inform police immediately if they receive such calls.
