Dhanbad, May 16: Dhanbad police have successfully recovered three stolen motorcycles without number plates from different locations and arrested three accused in connection with the case.

This marks the second major recovery of stolen bikes by the district police in the past 15 days. Earlier, the police had seized eight stolen bikes from Dhanbad and Jamtara districts.

Tip-Off Leads to Successful Raid in Baliapur Block
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Law and Order Naushad Alam informed the media that a special team was formed after Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) HP Janardhanan received a tip-off about stolen bikes being sold at low prices in the Baliapur block. Inspector Ramnarayan Thakur of Sadar Police Station was also present during the briefing.
Multiple Raids Result in Arrests and Bike Recoveries
Led by Inspector Sujit Kumar Singh, the police team raided the residence of Vikash Ram (30) in the Rangamati area under Baliapur Police Station limits, recovering a Hero Passion bike without a number plate from his godown.
Based on Vikash Ram’s information, the team then searched the home of Lalu Kureshi (24) in Laladih village, Baliapur, and seized a red Glamour motorcycle. Further interrogation led to the recovery of a third stolen Hero Passion bike from Govinkumar’s house under Dhanbad Sadar Police Station area, where the suspect was arrested along with the bike.

The recovery operation was carried out by Inspector Sujit Kumar Singh along with Sub-Inspector Mukesh Hembra, Ram Krishna Mardi, and Sheela Lakra, whose coordinated efforts led to dismantling this organized theft gang.
