Daltonganj, Feb 28: Dr Dinesh Kumar Singh has been appointed as the Vice Chancellor of the Nilamber Pitamber University in Daltonganj.
A notification to this effect has been issued by the Additional Chief Secretary (ACS) to Governor Nitin Madan Kulkarni today.
Dr Singh is from the GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology, Pantnagar.

His tenure will be of three years from the date he assumes the charge here at the Nilamber Pitamber University.
Further he will hold the office at the pleasure of the Governor cum Chancellor of the universities of state Jharkhand.
Again, his appointment is subject to clearance from the Vigilance Department of the parent organisation of the candidate.
The post of the VC has been lying vacant here since February 1.
