Dhanbad, July 17: Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro felicitated its class X student Adi Ayushman who won two gold medals in the 14th Jharkhand State Shooting Championship concluded in Deoghar recently.

The budding talent Adi Ayushman dominated the events of 50-meter rifle in the championship and won the gold medals in junior and senior groups both.

While felicitating Adi Ayushman for continuous outstanding performance in the state championship DPS Bokaro principal Dr AS Gangwar praised his talent and expressed hope that he will repeat this performance in the upcoming East Zone Inter-State shooting championship.

“He has not only made Delhi Public School Bokaro proud by winning two gold medals in 50 metres rifle in the state championship but also Bokaro district”, said principal Dr Gangwar.

In the senior category, Ayushman of DPS Bokaro surpassed Harsh Deep Singh of Jamshedpur by 4 points while in the junior category, he defeated Anurag of 10X Rifle Shooting Club by a margin of 10 points.

The official said more than 100 shooters from various shooting clubs of Jharkhand participated in this championship. By winning two gold medals Ayushman has thus qualified for the zonal shooting championship to be held later this year.

Last year also in the 13th Jharkhand Shooting Championship Adi Ayushman had won two gold medals securing first position in the 50-meter open rifle shooting championship in senior and junior categories defeating national-level shooter Arindam Bose.
