Ranchi, July 24: Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) conducted a two-day mock drill on fire prevention and safety at Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro to train the students to combat an emergency.
An official of the school said that the two-day training session aimed to create awareness among students and staff members about fire safety and prevention the fire.
On the first day, deputy commandant and fire officer Manoj Chauhan addressed the session highlighting the causes of fire, the different types of fires, and appropriate emergency response strategies to extinguish and how to escape them.

Primary firefighting measures
On the second day, fire Inspector P.K. Mishra focused on primary firefighting measures and how to safely evacuate during a fire.
“The importance of providing accurate location details to the fire brigade is important,” said Mishra.
During the training session, a mock drill was conducted, simulating a fire incident and demonstrating rescue techniques, in which the students participated enthusiastically.
DPS Bokaro principal Dr A.S Gangwar, on the occasion, said that fire safety awareness is an important starting point in an integrated fire safety plan for any organisation.
He praised the importance of such training sessions and expressed his gratitude towards the CISF BSL unit for spreading awareness on fire safety, and fire prevention measures, and imparting first aid firefighting training.
