Dhanbad, April 24: Senior art teacher of Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro Sunil Kumar has been conferred a nationally acclaimed M. F. Husain prestigious award.
Sunil Kumar has been selected for this award in the Indian Art Contest held in January 2024. The contest was organized by the Mahart Contest (Skill Development Drawing Literacy Mission) registered under MSME, Government of India.
Sunil Kumar will be given a cash prize of Rs. 7000, besides a monthly scholarship of Rs. 25,700 per month for his hard-work, dedication and achievement for the next twelve months.
DPS Bokaro officials said that in his journey with colours and abstract paintings exhibiting social human behaviour, he has received many state and national awards for his creative masterpieces.

“Receiving this prestigious award is a testament to his exceptional talent and dedication to art and painting. He is also an inspiration and motivation to many young budding artists who are now placed in reputed institutions like NIFT, NID, UCEED and other,” said an official.

Sunil Kumar expressed his gratitude to DPS Bokaro and the principal for providing him not only a conducive atmosphere but also a platform where he has explored and experimented with his paint, brush and colours to scale new heights of success.
Dr A S Gangwar, principal, DPS Bokaro handed over the certificate and congratulated Sunil Kumar for his commitment and dedication to art and appreciated his achievements. The principal said that this is a proud and elated moment for DPS Bokaro fraternity.
