The magnificent theatrical presentation ‘Samudra Manthan’ emerged as the highlight of the evening. The production transported the audience into the mythological realm where gods and demons united to churn the ocean in search of divine treasures. While the narrative depicted the ancient episode in which Lord Shiva consumed the deadly poison to protect creation, the performance drew a profound connection to the present day.
In today’s world, we do not have Lord Shiva to absorb the metaphorical ‘poison’—the ignorance, negativity and social evils that surround us. The presentation emphasized that “Today, the Shiva to be awakened is the innate light within us — the consciousness that empowers us to rise above ignorance and negativity.”
Through expressive enactments, mesmerizing choreography and a deeply symbolic narrative, the students portrayed ‘Samudra Manthan’ not only as a mythological event but as a timeless metaphor for confronting inner turbulence and allowing enlightenment to emerge from within.
As the performances drew to a conclusion, the Grand Finale brought all participants together in a celebration of rhythm, colour and collective spirit. The evening concluded with the Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, Principal DPS Ranchi, parents, teachers and students whose collective efforts made the event a resounding success.
