Ranchi, Dec 23: Delhi Public School, Ranchi, hosted its grand Project Model Exhibition titled “Discovery Den – Turning Thoughtful Curiosity into Brilliant Creation” on Tuesday.

The intellectually stimulating event was graced by Jitendra Kumar Singh (IAS), Secretary, Labour Employment, Training and Skill Development Department, Government of Jharkhand as the Chief Guest. The exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest along with the Principal, Dr. Jaya Chauhan.

The exhibition served as an engaging learning platform with participation from students of Nursery to Class IX and XI.

The exhibition covered Mathematical Modelling, Environmental Science, Technological Innovations, Social Science, Economics, Business Management, Language and Literature, Art and Craft, Photography, Sports and Physical Education, Soft Skills, and Foreign Languages; with around 1000 exhibits on display.
Students showcased a range of models on topics such as Agribot, AI Hologram, Hydropower Dam, Automatic Fire Extinguisher, Automatic Streetlight, Smart Garbage Disposer, Medibot, Eco-friendly Air Purifier, Rainwater Detector, scientific principles behind the construction of various bridges, an IoT-based smart keychain with GPS tracking system, pollution-eating wall paint, carbon absorber, photographic memory, waste-to-watt model, air defence system, and “Know Your Personality” etc.

Adding a creative literary dimension to the exhibition, class magazines from every section were also displayed, highlighting students’ writing skills, artistic expression, teamwork, and reflective learning.
The Primary Wing presented exhibits across Science, Social Science, Mathematics, Sports, Art, Literature, Soft Skills, and Foreign Languages. The Nursery students delighted visitors with colourful representations of the four seasons—Spring, Summer, Monsoon, and Winter—crafted using simple materials.
The Prep students, under the theme “SPORTACULAR”, showcased models and activities based on popular sports such as cricket, basketball, swimming, cycling, badminton, and hockey. Dressed as renowned sportspersons, they emphasised the importance of fitness, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship while engaging visitors through interactive games.
Class I students mesmerised the audience with their astronomical models featuring planets, stars, galaxies, and celestial bodies, igniting curiosity about space and science. Class II students’ simple ideas were creatively presented through colourful models and joyful storytelling.

Students of Classes III to V presented a thoughtfully organised exhibition divided into eight subject categories— Languages, Science, Mathematics, Social Science, General Knowledge, Life Skills, Computer Science, and Sports.
Their projects included 3D models of The Ramayana, story scrolls, picture dictionaries, working models like water purifiers and rainwater harvesting systems, fraction wheels, abacus models, social science displays on Indian monuments and the freedom struggle, AI-based innovations, and projects promoting fitness, teamwork, values, and digital awareness.
A Music Corner with a karaoke setup added artistic flair. Special appreciation was drawn by projects such as Harry Potter Set, Balistica: Cracking the Science Behind Firecrackers, AI Smart Dustbin, Operation Sindoor, Ahilya Bai (Life Sketch), Ramayana by Shanaya Goenka, and Habiba (Hindi).
One of the major attractions of the exhibition was the display of models demonstrating scientific concepts such as Magnetic Levitation, Motion Park, Maglev Train, Combustion Chamber, Dijkstra’s Algorithm, Tesla Coil, Vedic Physics, Sound Visualizer, Aquaponics System etc.
The Art and Craft section displayed a collection of photography, paintings, and artistic canvases. Students showcased 25 years of Jharkhand and the world’s renowned painters through expressive art forms and engaging performances.

Projects related to Sports highlighted the role of physical education in holistic development, offering deep insights into rules and regulations of various indoor and outdoor games while emphasising skills like leadership, teamwork, strategic thinking, and discipline.
Exhibits on Foreign Languages showcased the cognitive and cultural advantages of multilingual learning and global communication.
Adding to the celebratory spirit of the exhibition, prize winners from each and every category were felicitated with Merit Certificates. To encourage and appreciate collective participation, all students who took part in the exhibition were awarded Certificates of Participation.
Addressing the gathering, Chief Guest Jitendra Kumar Singh (IAS) expressed his admiration for the students’ efforts, stating, “The exhibition is a remarkable reflection of how education can transcend textbooks and classrooms. The students of DPS Ranchi have demonstrated exceptional creativity, clarity of thought, and an awareness of real-world issues. Their innovative models show not only subject knowledge but also the ability to think critically and propose practical solutions. Such academic platforms play a vital role in nurturing curiosity, innovation, and skill-based learning, which are essential for building a future-ready generation. I commend the school for fostering an environment where students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and excel.”
