Ranchi, Nov 27: Eesha Sasmal of Class VII and Prachi Toppo of Class X from Delhi Public School Ranchi have brought laurels to the school by bagging the Third Prize in a prestigious painting competition organized by the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
The competition, based on the theme of Power Conservation, showcased the creativity and innovation of young minds across the state. Both students were awarded a cash prize of Rs. 20,000 each and have qualified for the Nationals, which are scheduled to be held in Delhi.
In the initial stage, four paintings were submitted by DPS Ranchi for the State Level competition. From these, two paintings were shortlisted to represent the school at the State Level.

The competition saw participation from 100 talented artists across Jharkhand, of which only six were selected for the Nationals. Eesha and Prachi’s exceptional talent earned them a spot among these elite qualifiers.
Principal Dr. R.K. Jha congratulated the students on their remarkable achievement, stating, “Eesha and Prachi have demonstrated the importance of creativity in addressing vital issues like power conservation. Their success is a testament to their talent and hard work, and we are confident they will continue to shine at the National Level. The entire DPS Ranchi family is proud of their accomplishment and wishes them the very best for the upcoming competition.”
