Ranchi, June 28: Dr. Ajoy Kumar Singh from Ranchi was unanimously re-elected as the President of Vikas Bharti for a third consecutive term during the organization’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) held today at its headquarters in Bishunpur, Gumla district.

Padma Shri awardee and founder Ashok Bhagat was elected as the General Secretary for the 2025–27 term. The names of the newly elected office bearers were formally announced by Vikas Singh, the Election Officer of Vikas Bharti.

Vikas Bharti is one of Jharkhand’s largest social organizations, operating in over 27,000 villages across the state. It is deeply involved in grassroots initiatives related to education, healthcare, and rural skill development.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Singh reiterated the organization’s core mission: “Our main focus remains on providing education, healthcare, and skill development to rural communities. In the coming term, we will also strengthen efforts toward offering vocational training to villagers.”

The AGM was attended by Joint Secretary Mahendra Bhagat, Nikhilesh Maithi, Samrat Sen Gupta, Ranjna Choudhary, and members from various district branches of the organization.
