Dhanbad, March 21: Braving heavy rain, the East Central Railway Karmchari Union (ECRKU) observed ‘Protest Day’ on Friday to oppose the increasing pressure on running staff by railway management and to highlight other key demands.

As part of their scheduled program, ECRKU leaders from the Dhanbad Rail Division gathered at the Union’s Branch-2 office in Hill Colony at 5 PM, where they staged a massive demonstration. Following the protest, a memorandum outlining their concerns was submitted to the relevant authorities.

Similar demonstrations were organized at the headquarters of all East Central Railway (ECR) divisions.

“All running staff, including loco pilots and other railway employees directly involved in train operations, actively participated in the protest,” Ziauddin added.
