Daltonganj, Nov 18: Nagar Untari police in Garhwa cracked a blind case of murder in 72 hours! SP Garhwa Deepak Kr Pandey had asked his police to unfold it and the case was unfolded in the shortest possible time.
The body of a 26-year-old youth was abandoned between the two railway lines at Ahirpurwa just to pass it as a case of accidental death between the two railway lines.
However, Garhwa SP Deepak Kr Pandey knew it was a murder and he just wanted his men to crack it. SDPO of Sri Bansidhar Nagar, Satender Narain Singh and his team got it cracked.
It was a blind case. There was no witness to it. The place of occurrence was between the two railway lines. Again it was night when this 26-year-old youth was hacked to death. For some first few hours, the body remained unidentified.
However, the Nagar Untari police soon found the identity of the body. It was Rahul Kumar. His mother Muni Devi helped police in establishing the identity of the body as of her son Rahul. Police lodged her statement to police as a recorded FIR under section 103 (1) of the Bhartiya Nayaya Sanhita.

Circumstantial evidence leads to accused
Garhwa SP Deepak Kr Pandey said the murder case was lodged against an unknown criminal.
However, with the help of circumstantial evidence and technical inputs Nagar Untari police laid hands on one Mohan Paswan of the same age 26 which the deceased Rahul was.
Again Mohan Paswan was not the accused in the FIR. But for police, he was a big and prime catch as it was Mohan Paswan who had killed Rahul Kumar with a Tangi on the night of November 14.
Premeditated and planned murder
SP Garhwa Deepak Kr Pandey said, “It was a premeditated and planned murder executed in a very brutal and barbaric manner.”
Mohan first got Rahul inebriated and then Mohan in a cold-blooded way killed Rahul with a Tangi and abandoned his body between the two railway lines.
Mohan did the heinous crime in full sense and knowledge of what crime he was doing. He tried to hide his crime. He tried to pass this murder as of any train banging on Rahul leading to his death between the two railway lines. But a smart Nagar Untari police took the lid off the crime.
Police have recovered the Tangi used to kill Rahul. Police also seized the clothes and shoes which Mohan had worn at the time of committing this murder. Some disposable glasses were found by the police which were used in inebriating Rahul.
On the night of November 14 around 11 pm, Rahul was done to death. Nagar Untari police learnt about this murder around 6.30 morning of November 15. Mohan Paswan was remanded to judicial custody today.

Murder over a girl
The cracking of this murder case gains importance as the murder was committed on the night of November 14 when a day ahead there was polling on November 13.
The case could have given enough space to dubious people to connect this murder of the youth to the election to keep things going on with a sinister design.
However SP Garhwa Deepak Kr Pandey and his team knew the more early this case is unearthed, the more it will be helpful to frustrate dubious people from churning out any imaginary tale.
The murder was for a girl who was a cake between the two Mohan and Rahul.
Mohan was jealous of Rahul’s advances to the girl he loved. He disliked Rahul’s talking to her. He once saw Rahul with the girl which no obsessive lover would ever like to see. He decided to eliminate Rahul. And he did it only to now languish under the judicial custody.
