Jharkhand News: Green House of Vivek School emerges overall champion at 35th Annual Sports Meet

Jamshedpur, December 17: Vivek School’s 35th Annual Sports Meet concluded on Wednesday at the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium, Telco.

The drill display and march past by students, themed on a self-reliant and developed India, drew loud appreciation from the audience.

The prize distribution ceremony formed the highlight of the programme, with winners being felicitated for their outstanding performances.

Green House was declared the Overall Champion and also clinched the March Past title, while Blue House finished as runner-up in the march past.

Individual honours went to Himanshu Kumar and Chandni Rai as Under-19 Best Players, Shivam Pandey and Baso Hansda in Under-17, Dinesh Singh Munda and Anushka Kumari in Under-14, Ansh Kumar and Dimpy Shah in Under-12, and Vivek Kumar Pandey and Ruhi Rai in Under-10 categories.

Earlier in the day, the event was inaugurated by the Chief Guest, Rupa Rani Tirkey, Sports Officer of East Singhbhum district, in the presence of Special Guest Asmita Dorji Sharma, Adventure Manager, Tata Steel, along with members of the school management committee.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest lauded Vivek School students for bringing laurels at national and international sports platforms, calling it a matter of pride for the city, and encouraged students to pursue excellence with dedication.

The management committee thanked parents for their cooperation and urged students to continue striving for excellence in both academic and non-academic pursuits.
