Jharkhand News: Hazaribag doctor kills two daughters; commits suicide

Hazaribag, March 4: On Monday, a harrowing and gruesome incident took place in Hazaribagh. A doctor not only poisoned his two minor daughters but also committed suicide by cutting his wrist vein.

Dr Rajkumar Sao (40 years), a dentist by profession and his two daughters, Anvi Kumari (08 years) and Adhya Kumari (05 years), died. The bodies of all three were recovered from their Vishnupuri residence in town under Katkamdag police station.

The deceased doctor was originally a resident of Katakamsandi Chatti. He was a dental doctor and used to sit in the Lake Tower clinic in the Nawabganj locality.

Carmel School

According to the information received, the deceased doctor had returned from Hyderabad after getting treatment a few days ago. Before the incident, he had sent his mother, wife and son to his in-laws’ house in Kumhartoli.

The deceased girls studied at Carmel School, and their results of the annual examination came today only. Duo went to school with her mother, Chandani, to collect the report cards.

As soon as information about this incident was received, on the instructions of Hazaribagh MLA cum BJP candidate from Hazaribagh Lok Sabha constituency Manish Jaiswal, his media representative Ranjan Choudhary immediately reached the hospital and remained engaged in supporting the family of the deceased. The police are investigating the case.
