Dhanbad, April 23: Foreign and BIT Sindri experts of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics and Engineers (IEEE) have stressed on coordination between department and government for societal and research development.

IEEE USA Managing Director Russell Harrison, while addressing a seminar in BIT Sindri as chief speaker online on the topic of  ‘How and Why Work with Government’, emphasised that working with government institutions and departments is crucial for societal progress and development in research areas.

The seminar was jointly organized by the IEEE Students Branch and BIT Sindri Electrical Engineering Department to mark the Platinum Jubilee celebration of the institution.

IEEE is the world’s largest technical professional organization aimed at advancing technology for the benefit of humanity.

Russell Harrison is a well-known person serving IEEE USA as Managing Director. While addressing technocrats on the topic he emphasised on the importance of collaboration with government institutions and underlined various areas where cooperation can be established in different sectors.

Dr M D Abul Kalam, head of the Electrical Department BIT Sindri put up the topic of seminar and shed light on its relevance and requirement in the present scenario. While introducing the chief speaker  Russell  Harrison, he said that his expertise and rich experience made this seminar exceptional.

“B.I.T Sindri is an institution that contributes significantly to technical education and research. Its student and faculty community is renowned for reliability and excellence,” said  Dr Kalam.

B.I.T Sindri director Prof Pankaj Rai, Vineet Sekhar, counsellor of the IEEE Student Branch, and Dr. Amit Kumar Chaudhary also addressed.

Members of the IEEE Student branch and faculty community of B.I.T Sindri participated in this seminar. They welcomed this supportive initiative and understood the significance of collaborating with governmental institutions.
