Dhanbad, Oct 25: The Indian Medical Association (IMA), Deoghar chapter, expressed deep sorrow over the demise of two senior doctors from the district and paid heartfelt tributes to them at a condolence meeting held at the IMA Hall on Friday evening.

Coincidentally, renowned dermatologist Dr. Akhileshwar Prasad Sinha (89) passed away on Thursday morning, while eminent plastic surgeon Dr. Prachet Nandan Chakraborty, popularly known as Kajal Da (87), breathed his last later that evening.

Doctors Remember Their Contributions

IMA Deoghar secretary Dr. Gauri Shankar said both doctors had devoted decades of their lives to serving the people of Deoghar and left behind an enduring legacy of compassion and professionalism.

Dr. Chakraborty, the youngest son of Ankul Chandra Thakur, completed his MBBS from Calcutta Medical College and his postgraduate studies in plastic surgery from Patna Medical College. He was also associated with the Satsang Ashram, contributing his time and expertise to its medical services.

During the condolence meeting, several doctors shared fond memories of their association with the departed medicos and recalled their unwavering dedication to patient care and the medical profession.

Floral tributes were offered by IMA Deoghar president Dr. D. Tiwari (also national vice-president), IMA Jharkhand vice-president (Santhal Division) Dr. R.N. Prasad, Dr. Gauri Shankar, among others, who collectively honored the two distinguished doctors for their lifelong commitment to healing and humanity.
