Industry-Academic Conclave to kick off at NIT Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Nov 14: The Adityapur-based NIT Jamshedpur has geared up to host a three-day Industry Academic Conclave (IAC 2024) from November 15-17.

As many as 30 stalls will be put up at the Diamond Jubilee Lecture Hall as a part of the conclave.

Representatives of about 60 institutions from across the country and abroad will participate in the conclave.

Such a conclave is being organized for the second time at the tech cradle.

Addressing a press conference on the campus here today, the director of the institute, Prof. Gautam Sutradhar said that the conclave will be inaugurated by Jharkhand Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar on November 15.

Companies including Tata Steel, NTPC, Greco, Power Grid Corporation, GAIL, BCCL, ONGC, DVC, Coal India,  Braithwaite & Company Limited, Adhunik, Lakshmi Associates, CCL and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited will participate in the conclave.

The NIT director said that in line with the theme of Developed India-Developed Jharkhand: 2047, the conclave will prove to be a stepping stone towards a more developed and self-reliant economy.

He explained that the objective of the event is to bring together industry leaders, academic experts, policy makers and students to foster innovation, discuss critical industrial challenges and develop solutions that can transform academic research into real-world applications.
