Dhanbad, May 11: Roshan Mishra, an art teacher at Delhi Public School (DPS) Bokaro, has bagged the Online Art Exhibition international award organized by the Ministry of Culture’s Skill Development Drawing Literacy Mission.
He secured the 14th rank worldwide in the international competition and will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs.26,210 for a year, along with an additional reward of Rs.12,980.
His painting depicts significance of existence
A DPS Bokaro official said his painting depicts the significance of existence from zero to the universe and the struggles of mankind.
The Art and Culture Department, Government of India, has given him a certificate as well as an award.
The official claimed Roshan Mishra is the first person in Jharkhand who has received this prestigious international painting award.

This year, this is 3rd time Roshan Mishra has been awarded for his painting. He won the prestigious Sidhu Kanhu Kala Ratna Award 2024 in the Revival of Tribal and Folk Art Foundation Online International Competition organized by the Jharkhand government.
Sri Ramotsav Art Camp
Earlier, he was the lone artist from Jharkhand to participate in the National Sri Ramotsav Art Camp organised in Ayodhya by Uttar Pradesh Lalit Kala Academy.
Roshan Mishra, resident of Tundi block in Dhanbad district has already won two international awards for his painting.
Roshan expressed his gratitude towards the support and guidance provided by the DPS Bokaro family, especially Principal Dr AS Gangwar. He emphasized nurturing the artistic talent of children.
