Jharkhand News: INTUC asks ECL CMD to regularise Mugma colliery miners

Dhanbad, May 13: Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) organizing secretary cum Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS) president Suresh Chandra Jha met Eastern Coalfield Limited (ECL) chairman cum managing director (CMD) Samiran Dutta at Sanktoria and put up long pending issues of miners.

Jha along with a delegation asked the CMD for regularization of the job of miners who have been working for a long time on the surface in Dhanbad-based Mugma Area of ECL and immediate implementation of LLTC of  NCWA XI.

The RCMS president expressed concern over the shortage of security forces in the company and urged the CMD to initiate immediate action for starting truck loading of coal in Chapapur Colliery which is closed due to extortion demand by local strongmen.

Displaced persons in SP Mines Chitra Colliery

The INTUC secretary also raised the issue of displaced persons in SP Mines Chitra Colliery and asked CMD Samiran Dutta to provide basic facilities to displaced persons. He also urged him to give employment to land losers of colliery.

Shashi Bhushan Tiwari, Mantosh Yadav, Nishi Kant Mishra, Shakaldeo Prasad, Naval Roy, and Chando Mandal were other members of the delegation.

RCMS leaders said that ECL CMD Samiran Dutta heard their demands and assured us to do the needful as soon as possible.
