Dhanbad, Jan 6: A delegation from the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC), led by national organizing secretary Suresh Chandra Jha, met with Eastern Coalfields Limited (ECL) Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) Satish Jha at Sanctoria. The delegation requested the construction of a 20-bed hospital in SP Mines, Chitra, Deoghar, in a pollution-free area.

Suresh Chandra Jha, who is also the central committee president of Rashtriya Colliery Mazdoor Sangh (RCMS), highlighted the high-quality coal reserves in Chitra Bhawanipur village. He emphasized the need for proper rehabilitation of villagers before initiating coal extraction in the area.

“We also requested the CMD to construct a marriage hall for labourers in the nearby village of the Chitra Colliery area,” said Suresh Chandra Jha after the meeting.
