Jamshedpur, March 21: Steel City of Jamshedpur will witness a grand Tiranga Yatra to be organised by Naman, a philanthropic outfit, on March 23 to honour the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country.
Started in the year 2016, this will be the ninth year of the grand apolitical rally.
Naman founder Kale urges city residents to join Yatra for patriotism
Founder of Naman, Amarpreet Singh Kale, also the former state BJP spokesperson today said they are expecting more participation from youth, men and women this year.
Notably, in the last 40 days, the social outfit led by Kale conducted as many as 151 meetings at various places in and around the city for the grand success of Tiranga Yatra.
Kale appealed to the city residents to participate in this journey that awakens the spirit of patriotism and provides their love, support and blessings like every year.
He said in honour of the martyrs, it is the country’s grandest tricolour march.
“Akhand Tiranga Yatra is the carrier of the message of love, ideology of India’s unity, integrity, brotherhood, harmony and patriotism, ” he said addressing media persons at a hotel in Sakchi this evening.

Yatra’s route
The yatra will start from Agrico Transport Ground at 9.55 am on Saturday, March 21 and like every year, it will return to Agrico Ground via Agrico roundabout, Bhalubasa, Sakchi, Basant Cinema, Kalimati Road, RD Tata Chowk and Police Lines, traversing a distance of around 7 km, paying tribute to the immortal martyrs.
Tiranga Yatra to promote unity and harmony across society
“Through this platform, we make every possible effort to maintain love, brotherhood and harmony in the society,” said Rakeshwar Pandey, a veteran trade union leader and patron of Naman.
The organization has been formed inspired by non-political and non-communal spirit in which eminent persons from every section of the society and every religion and society, medical practitioners, journalists, ex-Servicemen Service Council, editors, labour leaders and various religious and social organizations have been included.
Notably, in 2016, destructive slogans like ‘Bharat tere tukde honge hazaar’ was raised in the country.
This organization was formed in response to this incident and for the first time in the year 2016, Akhand Tiranga Yatra was organised in Jamshedpur which was historic.
Since then, it has become a tradition to take out this yatra every year on March 23, on the martyrdom day of Shaheed-e-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev.
