Jamshedpur, September 21: In a continuing wave of protests against former Congress national president and Leader of Opposition, Rahul Gandhi, a significant number of Sikhs from Jamshedpur took part in a massive demonstration in Ranchi on Friday. The protest was marked by high participation from the Sikh community, led by young Sikh leader Satbir Singh Somu.

Addressing the gathering, Somu expressed his gratitude to the Sikh participants and reiterated his long-standing criticism of the Congress party. He accused the Congress of fostering a climate of hostility toward Sikhs, perpetuating the wounds of the 1984 anti-Sikh riots.

“The Congress leadership has constantly aggravated the community’s pain,” he said, drawing a stark comparison to the actions of Congress ministers, whom he accused of “scratching the wounds of Sikhs and adding salt to it.”

Somu also issued a warning to Congress leader and Jharkhand Health Minister Banna Gupta, demanding a public apology for recent remarks that have further upset the Sikh community. If an apology is not forthcoming, Somu stated that a delegation would approach the Chief Minister and the Governor, calling for Gupta’s removal from the Cabinet.

The protest saw the participation of hundreds of Sikh individuals, including prominent figures like Chanchal Bhatia, Ravinder Singh Rinku, Jagtar Singh, Amardeep Bhatia, and many others. The protest reflected the community’s growing frustration with Congress and their resolve to seek justice for past grievances.
