Jamshedpur, July 12: Yoga enthusiasts across Jharkhand and beyond are set to gather in Jamshedpur for two major events organized by the World Fitness Federation of Yogasana Sports India (Bharat) and Sarkar Yoga Academy under the leadership of Yoga Guru Anshu Sarkar.
Scheduled for July 19 and 20, the programs will feature competitions, awards, and performances celebrating the discipline and artistry of yoga.
On July 19, the WFF Second Jharkhand Yogasana Sports Championship–2025 will be held at the auditorium of Kerala Public School (KPS), Kadma. The championship will commence at 8 am with Chief Guest Sharat Chandran, Director of KPS, inaugurating the event. Special guests for the occasion will include Jitendra Kumar, Automation Chief, MRC, Saudi Arabia, and Dinesh Kumar, former President, BJP, Jamshedpur.

Participants ranging in age from 5 years to over 60 years will compete in 12 groups and a star category for both men and women. Six winners will be selected from each group, while the titles of Champion of Champions will be awarded to the top male and female participants. The closing ceremony will feature West Jamshedpur MLA Saryu Roy as the Chief Guest, with KPS Principal Sharmila Mukherjee presenting the awards.
Continuing the annual tradition, the second event—the Sarkar Classic IV All India Open Yoga Beauty Contest–2025—will unfold on July 20. The contest will open in the morning at Kerala Public School, Kadma. The inauguration will be led by Shakuntala Murmu, Director of the LIC Zonal Training Center for Jharkhand, Bihar, and Bengal, joined by special guests Lakshmi Sharat, Director of KPS Academy, and social worker Vijay Verma.
The Yoga Beauty Contest will crown winners with the titles of Yoga Princess for participants aged 10 to 21 and Yoga Queen for those aged 22 to 40.

The competition will conclude at 4 pm at the Kusum Kamani Auditorium of Narbheram English School, Bistupur. State Education Minister Ramdas Soren will grace the closing ceremony as Chief Guest. Other dignitaries expected to attend include Shivam Bhadauria, President of the World Fitness Federation of Yogasana Sports International, Sanjay Jha of the Yoga Federation of India, former Baharagora MLA Kunal Sarangi, social worker Indrajit Ghosh and Sharat Chandran, director, KPS.
