The workshop’s keynote speaker,  Sanjay Bose, a renowned photographer and documentary maker from Ranchi, kicked off the session with a captivating talk on the history and philosophy of photography. His insights covered a range of topics, from the evolution of the medium to its technical nuances.

In the second session, Ranchi’s noted photographer Rajkumar focused on the practical aspects of photography, engaging students with hands-on demonstrations.

One of the workshop’s highlights was a practical session on the significance of lighting in photography.  Rajkumar demonstrated how varying types of lighting can dramatically alter a subject’s appearance, using a student volunteer to show the difference in facial features under different lighting conditions.

More than 70 undergraduate and postgraduate students from the department participated in the workshop. Faculty members including Dr. Rashmi Kumari, Syed Sajid Parvez, and Syed Shahzeb Parvez were also present to support the event, making it a valuable learning experience for all involved.
