Jamshedpur, July 12: The highly decorated “Investiture Ceremony” of Kerala Public School took place today with immense zeal and enthusiasm.
The chief guest for the occasion was Major Himanshu Bhusan Sahoo.
Other guests and dignitaries who graced the occasion were Manorama Nair, chairperson; Sharat Chandran, director; Shanta Vaidyanathan, founder principal; Lakshmi Sharat, academic director; Sharmila Mukherjee, principal; and Alamelu Ravishankar, headmistress.
The Investiture Ceremony aimed to instil leadership qualities in the upcoming generation, as they possess the capacity to translate vision into reality.
It was a momentous occasion where the school elected students and entrusted hope and faith in the newly elected school cabinet for the academic year 2024-2025, assigning them prefectural responsibilities.
The Investiture Ceremony is held with the motto of investing students with a sense of responsibility and duty. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp, followed by a prayer song. This was followed by a march past by the school pupil leaders, Abhishek Jha from 5C and Anjali Kumari from 4C, who were elected as the school presidents for 2024-2025.

The four house captains were as follows:
Green House: Shivam Kumar
Yellow House: Vivaan Sahu
Blue House: Vidya Kumari
Red House: Shreeyam Das
Cabinet Ministers were elected for different criteria:
Ethics: Sreejit Bharati
Discipline: Dhanashri Bhattacharjee
Environment: Barkha Kumari
Safety: Utkarsh Niwas
After the unfurling of the flags, the newly elected students’ council received their badges from the school headmistress, Alamelu Ravishankar.
The school president and the cabinet ministers pledged to execute their duties with full devotion and dedication, promising to keep the school flag flying high.
The sight of these praiseworthy young leaders on stage, taking the oath of responsibility, was truly graceful and enthralling.

Maj. Sahoo, the chief guest; Manorama Nair, the chairperson, Sharat Chandran, the director, and all other dignitaries congratulated the president and the cabinet members and urged them to take up their responsibilities with commitment and integrity.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Divyanshu of Std 5C and the ceremony concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.
