Jamshedpur, July 12: Jamshedpur-born artist Jyoti C Singh Deo’s solo art exhibition, “Existential Dichotomy,” held at Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore from July 5 to July 11, 2024, concluded with resounding success, leaving an indelible mark on the contemporary art scene.

This event showcased a diverse array of perspectives and mediums, from avant-garde sculptures to abstract paintings and immersive installations, captivating art enthusiasts and critics alike.

Gritty reality of miners in focus

Jyoti’s exhibition, which explored the dichotomies of light and darkness, labour and environment, and hope and despair, resonated deeply with visitors.

Using coal as a medium, her works poignantly captured the gritty reality of miners and the haunting beauty of coal veins and caverns.
