Jharkhand News: Kolhan Division Journalist Felicitation Ceremony on Dec 15

Jamshedpur, Dec 11: The Press Club of Jamshedpur will organize the Kolhan Division Level Journalist Felicitation Ceremony-2024 on December 15 at Hotel NH Hill, Pardih, starting at 10:30 AM. The event will celebrate the contributions of journalists from Kolhan, honouring senior journalists, families of late journalists, and currently working journalists based on their achievements.

The ceremony will witness the presence of distinguished guests, including Odisha Governor Raghubar Das as the Chief Guest, Jharkhand Education Minister Ramdas Soren as the Special Guest, and MP Bidyut Baran Mahto as the Guest of Honour.

A preparatory meeting was held at Circuit House, Jamshedpur, under the leadership of Press Club President Sanjeev Bhardwaj. General Secretary Vikas Srivastava shared detailed plans for the event, emphasizing seamless organization and collaboration for the program’s success.

Vice President Sumit Jha, Treasurer Manman Pandey, and other office bearers, including Assistant Secretary Amit Tiwari and Executive Members Dr. Pramod Kumar and Kumar Manish, also participated, contributing their valuable inputs.

General Secretary Srivastava revealed that the awards will be presented in three categories:

Families of Late Journalists: Honoring the legacy of journalists who contributed significantly to the profession.

Senior Journalists: Recognizing individuals for their long-term dedication and impact.

Currently Working Journalists: Acknowledging impactful work done between 2023 and 2024, as evaluated by a jury committee.

Entries in the third category were judged based on submitted stories and published photographs, showcasing outstanding journalism during the evaluation period.

In addition to individual honours, the Press Club will also acknowledge its partner organisations for their unwavering support and collaboration throughout the year.
