Jamshedpur, August 9: Though there is still time for pujas, exhibitions from various places have started coming to steel city.
Local residents will be able to get a glimpse of one such exhibition put up by a leading Kolkata-based entrepreneur Sharmila Ghosh.
Exhibition-cum-sale
With refreshing designs in silk and tussar saris adorned with kantha, lambani and batik the exhibition-cum-sale by Sharmila’s Creation will have many more collections to display.

The two-day exhibition-cum-sale will kick off tomorrow. On the first day on August 10 (Saturday), the exhibition will be put up at The Milanee Hall in Bistupur.
The exhibition will kick off at 10 am and continue till 9 pm.

On the second day on August 11 (Sunday), the exhibition will be conducted between 10 am and 9 pm at the Vijaya Garden Club House in Baridih.
Women of all age groups can attend the exhibition-cum-sale at both venues.
Price range of Rs 500 to Rs 7,000
“I am not new to the steel city. I have been putting my exhibitions here since a long time. At the exhibition one can experience a blend of tradition and modernity through our exquisite collection. I am expecting a good response. I am especially happy with the fact that women like my products,” said Sharmila Ghosh, the owner of Sharmila’s Creation.
Ghosh’s collection includes a variety of chiffons, georgettes, Bengal cotton silk, Parsee embroidery, saris, salwar suits, kurtis, tops and nightwear at affordable rates.
The price range of the products varies between Rs 500 and Rs 7,000.
She runs a workshop in Kolkata, which works with expert weavers who give shape to her innovative designs. “I have never compromised with quality,” she added.
Apart from India, the 59-year-old designer has already won the hearts of her customers in Singapore, Malaysia, Dubai and several other places.
