Jamshedpur, May 5: Loyola School, Jamshedpur, celebrated an extraordinary academic milestone as it felicitated Shambhavee Jayaswaal, the National Topper of the ICSE 2024-25 examinations, who secured a perfect 100% average — a rare feat in the history of the board.

The special assembly, held in the school auditorium, began with a warm welcome extended to Shambhavee and her parents, Dr. Abhishek Jayaswaal, radiologist at Meherbai Tata Memorial Hospital, and Dr. Ojaswi Shankar, gynaecologist at Tata Manipal Hospital.

Currently pursuing science at DAV, Shambhavee aspires to become a computer science engineer and is determined to serve the nation through innovation and integrity.
In her speech, Shambhavee credited her success to the support of her mother, the guidance of her teachers, and her own sense of self-belief.
Her achievements were formally honoured by Father Rector K M Joseph, who presented her with a token of appreciation, and Father Principal Vinod Fernandes, who handed over a commemorative memento. The school also honoured her parents with saplings.

Speaking at the event, Father Principal Vinod Fernandes remarked, “Shambhavee has not only topped the nation but also set a new benchmark in academic excellence, grace, and humility. She is a role model for every Loyolean.”

The celebration also recognized other meritorious students of the school. Awards were presented to winners of the Maths and Science Olympiads, Intraschool Debate Competitions for Standards IX and X, and achievers in various recent co-curricular activities.

The event concluded on a note with Father Principal’s address to the student body. He urged students to pursue excellence with dedication, reminding them that “success is not a destination, but a journey shaped by perseverance and purpose.”
